Is the Gtx 770 worth it?

DumDumx3

I am building a PC with the following specs:

Pentium g4400

Gigabyte Ga-h110m Matx

Gskill nt series 8gb(2133mhz ddr4)

Xfx r7 360 2gb

Seasonic s12ii 520watt 80+ bronze

The r7 360 is ~90$. Would it be a good idea to go with a gtx 770 used for about 100-120$ instead. I want to play new games such as battlefield 1 and GTA 5 at medium settings 60fps. Are there any other used or new graphics cards in the 100-120$ range that are better?

Thanks

The RX 460 is coming out soon so I'd wait and see how that performs.

Mate, never mind the GPU. That CPU is a potato :|

To RGB, or not to RGB? That is the question.

- Shakespeare. Hamlet, Act III, scene I.

You might make the minimum specs for Battlefield 1 with an i3-6100, but I definitely would not recommend it.

This cpu is good for the money and will probably be upgraded to an i5 6500 within a few months.

If you don't want to purchase new, the performance boost you get by getting the gtx 770 over the r7 360 for just about $20-30 more is a pretty large jump, however i would recommend putting more focus on a better processor to alleviate some potential drawbacks you might get with the g4400. Considering the games you said you want to play, you might be better off with a quad core, especially if you end up wanting to play new games in the future as DX12 popularizes. A lot of new games refuse to even open without detecting 4+ physical cores), and if you're open to older platforms then the price might not even change all that much from what you listed above.

However, again it's all situational, you have to consider the broader spectrum of what you want to do with the system as well as your budget. Personally I doubt that Battlefield 1 will be able to open without 4 cores considering the direction PC games are going, but i guess we'll have to wait and see.
