So i recently switched cases from a HAF 922 to a Phanteks P400 and i have to say , my temps seem a loot higher and the fans are noisier  , on my old 922 i just had a 200mm intake a 200mm exhaust on the top and a 140mm exhaust on the back while using the Coolermaster V8 , now with the eclipse i have two Phanteks fans ( the ones that came with the case ) for intake and a coolermaster Silencio FP 120 PWM for exhaust , my cpu cooler is a coolermaster 212x with two silencio fans on push pull , gpu and cpu temps are 5-9c higher and i don't really mind that , i mean HAF stands for high air-flow after all but the fan noise is KILLING ME , both the gpu , cpu and case fans ramp up and are so loud it drives me crazy , i've thought of getting a PWM hub and have absolute control of every fan on my case as well as adding one more fan for exhaust on the top. Any ideas?

Well it looks like the Phanteks case is a more enclosed case so it should have more airflow restriction. The louder noise could just be that you're using different fans.It also looks like you went from a CM V8 to a CM 212x. So really you changed  everything and are surprised noise and temps changed. Just upgrade your fans to some silent ones.

yeah but i mean , aren't 200mm fans supposed to be louder than 120mm ones? also i'm using the coolermaster silent fans with the anti-vibration mounts installed

For the front you should get REALLY high static pressure fans. I don't know much about the fans you have, but if you look at how small of an opening there is on the p400, the fans are working hard to get enough air. If you wanted silence, you should have gotten the p400S. You could possibly return the case.

it's kinda late for that , are there any silent static pressure fans ? i'll just replace my intakes and add more exhaust and it should be fine when they're all plugged on a pwm hub right?

You should see how the Phanteks fans are. They may be the source of your problem. Also check your motherboard and GPU tuning software. Lots of 'em these days have it so you can create a custom fan curve.

Also I hear (hehe) Noctua fans are quite quiet and offer good static pressure.

What are your temps and how fast are your fans running?

Ah didn't see the Silencio. I'd upgrade your CPU cooler first if it's getting hot . I think Linus mad where they shoved a bunch of stuff like clothing into the case to show temps didn't change much. I'm sure it's those Phantek fans that are the noisy ones so turn those off and see how much quieter it is that way you can see if they need to be replaced too

Typically, bigger fans are quieter because they spin at slower speeds. Other things equal, bigger fans move more air per rpm. Of course, you can run smaller fans at lower rpm too (and move less air), and you can have differences in fan design leading to more or less noise within the same size. So fan size is not enough to predict noise, but if anything, I'd expect less noise from bigger fans.

Coming back to your ooriginal question, @benga is right: many things changed from one setup to the other, so it's hard to know where to point the finger at.

ok after installing 4 Silencio FP 120s on a pwm hub the case is literally whisper quiet and the only thing audible is the GPU which continues to have high temps , my bet is that the hot air the gpu blows at the PSU cover stays inside the case , ill try putting the PSU with the fan faced up so that the GPU blows the hot air inside the PSU and it exhausts out the back?

Unless, you have some odd fans on your graphics card, flipping the psu upside down would have the graphics card and psu fight each other since they're intaking at opposite directions. Just leave the psu as is.

That seems normal. What are you confused about?
