800€ buget gaming PC

Nykie

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to build a computer for my friend at about 800€ price range, I build my setup a year ago so i'm kinda ''out of shape'' as far as updated/new components are out.

Can someone try to do one or two builds only the case, i dont need anything else only case and components :)

His target games are, The Withcher 3 and he is big Elder Scrolls fan and Blizzard games..(1080p).

Thanks and have a nice day!

I dont have time to give you a list but I would look on pcpartpicker.com

Good luck, I know how it's like to build a pc for a friend (;

This one seems nice and its only 50 over you're desired price, you can always look on other pages for the same components but for cheaper!

Get a 4th or 6th gen i5

8GB RAM

Motherboard with USB 3 headers

1TB 7200RPM HDD, 64MB Cache

240GB SSD, I recommend Samsung 850EVO, Kingston SSD Now UV400 and ADATA SP550

Either one of these graphics cards R9 290 < GTX 970 < RX 480 < R9 290x = R9 390 < GTX 1060

PSU from the top 3 tiers on this list

What ever case they want with USB 3 headers

Hey, I´m new here and new to PCs in general and am also thinking about building something in this price range (looking at the first few replace mainly). One main question: I´m leaning rather towards the gtx 1060 (gainward; no idea what difference that makes). Price, here in Germany, is the exact same as for the RX480. Found like one or two that are 10-20€ cheaper. Should I rather still go for the 480? I know it might have slightly better performance in the future with DX12 (but how much better would it be?) and I´m mainly gonna play Blizzard games and some older games in general for now.
So which one would be suited better for me?

Thanks for your input!

please don't hijack other's threads. you can make your own if you wanna ask questions. i'd get the gtx 1060, seems to perform better.

Oh, sorry about that, will do. Just thought this would save another thread since I´m planning on doing pretty much the exact build.
Thanks anyway!

If the price is the same then I'd definitely get the gtx 1060 especially since you'll be playing older titles.

they're fine, get 1x8gb and save up the slot for later, also go with a WD blue or a seagate barracuda instead for the 480 build, the purple drives aren't really for gaming pcs. i'd pick the gtx 1060 build over the rx 480 build.
