New Gaming Rig

Parts:  http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/k6TskT

1. Budget & Location

My budget is £2000(preferably less), I'm located in Denmark, so my prices will be about US$50-100 more than what you're used to.

2. Aim

The aim is a gaming rig,  and a good one.

3. Monitors

I have 1 ASUS 1080p 17,3" monitor, and I'll stick with that for now, but I'll probably upgrade to a curved 4k or wide screen in a few years .

4. Peripherals

I have a Razer Deathadder, SteelSeries 6G V2, a pair of Razer Kraken Pro Neons and a pair of Creative SoundBlaster Recon 3D Wireless Headphones. I'll upgrade the keyboard and mouse in the future if there's a good deal (probably K95/K70 and M45/M65 or Deathadder Chroma)

5. Why are you upgrading?

Upgrading because my old (current)  rig is slow,  bought it pre built and want to build my own computer, and want to have something to save money for (I usually just buy stuff I don't need from Amazon when I get my paycheck)

Excited to hear what you guys think!

Edit: The rig will be bought in about a year maybe 18 months (shitty pay),  I'm just doing the planning now,  so I know when to buy the parts.(some parts might be replaced when new ones get released) I will definitely be using a steam link. For now I would be using my 1080p monitor but I'll upgrade to a wide screen/ curved 1440p/4k when they go on sale near Christmas. (What screen what you recommend?  Nothing larger than 30", or over £500).I was thinking maybe LG34UM94C-P or LG34UMC88 or LG34UC97-S (a bit too expensive but might go on sale)

I might do some HTC Vive/VR things when I get the rig.

Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-VLK - CPU: Intel i5-3570k - GPU: EVGA GTX 960 SSC 2GB - RAM: Kingston HyperX Genesis DDR3-1600 8GB - PSU: CMRS750ACAA-E3 - Storage: 2TB Seagate Barracude HDD - Case: CM 690 II - OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

You dont need 1200W for a single GPU, 500W would be plenty(Only if you plan to SLI 1080s). The masterair maker, although a very powerful air cooler, is poor value and at that price point you would be better off to buy high end AIO water for better cooling or the other cheaper high end air coolers (D-15, Dark rock pro 3). 1080p would be a massive waste of a 1080, RX 480, 1060 or even a 1070 (Not really) are better value at this resolution. If you plan to play at 4K with this setup, you will probably need to upgrade the GPU again in under 2 Years, (1-1.5 more likely). If you can get the monitor by then, ok. If not, it would be a massive waste of the GPU (And money).

The V1200 is only US$110 mor than a 750i so I thought I'd go for it,  and I chose the cooler because I like how it looks .  What GPU would you recommend (I might do some HTC Vive things)

Define "Good", because everyone has a wide range of tastes. Are you looking at maximum settings at 1080p at 60FPS? Or is 30FPS fine? Or do you want to look at 1440p gaming?

I definitely want at least 1080p 60fps, I probably wanna look at 1440p gaming when I get the rig (in a bout a year,  so some parts might be replaced by then,  or be cheaper so, I can buy a HTC vive or display)

I'll probably get a better monitor when Christmas sales come. Got any recommendations?  Preferably 4k (1440p is OK)  curved/ultra wide Max 30" was thinking maybe LG34UM94C-P or LG34UMC88 or LG34UC97-S (a bit too expensive but might go on sale)

Well, if you're playing at 1080p, a RX 480 or 1060 are very good value. If you have the money, you could go for a 1070, just make sure you have a 144Hz monitor to go with it or it will be a waste a 1080p (Already kind of is at that resolution).

I wouldn't bother to upgrade from it if you are using it at 1080p, there wouldn't be that big of a jump from that to a 480/1060. Bit of a waste to upgrade now at that resolution.
