gpu folding will require some cpu power even if you don't use your cpu for folding.

 

to OP, don't change the cpu priority for f@h, mine is on low and it's doing fine. I'm guessing the low ppd is just because of the 0xa3 wu

so, im running at 75K now, prob a bit (very) overestameted but im happy to see its in 5 digits again :D

FYI - currently, no flags are required on the CPU - so remove any you have. One the GPU, client-type should be set.

 

Also, if you can, post screen shots of say CPU-Z showing temps and usage and check taskmanager, and make sure FAH is running at 99% and you don't have something else in the background leaching cycles...

 

I have seen where the CPU runs to hot, and then system throttles it... and voila, zippo processing power. 

is their any big advantage to overclocking, im running at a cool 55 degrees so i can squeze a mild overclock out of it

On a CPU, you can gain maybe a K or two of extra PPD - if you have the temp headroom, why not.

Hmm, I'm a 7870 and I get 14k PPD just from that.

yes, I'm getting 14k just from the 7870 btw
