Yeah but it is a CX M series which is better than the CM series , and the froston is only 80+ when the CXM is 80 + bronze

Forton has a legendary reputation for building quality psus

It is much more reliable and will last far longer than the corsair

It's honestly a tough decision, CX series units aren't great but the 450w unit is the best out of them all. Forton however builds really good quality units and parts. Much better than the Corsair CX series. Depending on what other hardware you're going to be using with it would be the decider for me.

the 80+ or 80 + bronze rating doesn't matter for safety, corsair cx has a reputation of damaging other components

CX450M, the Hyper is a lower segment of PSUs. If you want to go with FSP go with something like the Hydro X.

Others seem to forget that the CX450M is different to the older CX but at these prices you should be able to get a Seasonic S12II 520

Yeah i know but i read on tom's hardware about something that the skylake would need a lower voltage thing from the PSU

That's only if you enable certain C states

Though the PSUs you mentioned should support them.

You guys are all wrong :)

The 450W CXM is based on a new platform that performs pretty close to an RM series PSU. It's miles ahead of the FSP, but I couldn't find a review for it.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

Anyway... the FSP is a bad PSU for intense gaming?

The old one has a reputation for shutting off at high temperatures, not for destroying hardware. I'm so goddamn tired about correcting people about this. The new CXM doesn't even have the same problem anymore and is quite a decent PSU.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Mother of fuck there's so much misinformation in this thread.

The CXM is better. It performs better and is of better quality. The new CXM does not have any notable issues. Those days are gone. Stop parroting things you've heard on the internet. Would make my life a hell of a lot easier.

Which is better?
This one:  Fortron FSP Hyper 600 600W Dual Rail

Or this one:  Corsair CX-M Series CX450M 450W Semi-Modular

The CXM is of better quality and performs better electrically.
