Hey guys, quick question..

Im going to pick up one of these cheapy 7970's at the moment for a new build and wanted to know if this power supply would cope fine..

i5 3570k

ASROCK Extreme 4 MOBO

Asus HD 7970 Matrix Platinum (ROG EDITION)

Then a few SSD's and the like..

with a CX650 PSU. <-- will this be able to cope with a 7970?

Im planning to upgrade to crossfire 7970s after a while.. but not yet. Theyre powerful enough for this system at the moment, and i have this power supply already so i dont see the need to buy another right now if its good for a single 7970 :)

and yes i do know the new AMD cards are coming out, ive seen the specs and held a few ;) ive got a friend that works with them. Im preferring to go for a cheaper 7970 and take the higher power consumption.

You might want a bigger psu for crossfire, but for a single card setup, that is perfectly adequate.
