Hey everyone. I am in market to throw down 4-6k usd. However, for the sake keeping living budget safety net open I wish to use a method where I could do payments. Need help from experience users to find a suitable outlet for a payment service. I wish to definitely future proof this new rig. I defensively wish to get a full tower for space. My biggest wish is for a vr ready gpu. Then lastly, I am looking into video development. I already got gopro 3+ hero and some nikon cameras to assist to 1080p resolution.

To help place into perspective, I love Fallout 4, Far Cry 4, and ESO. I be honest though I am leaving the console realm for a dedicated desktop. I have been playing on my ASUS ROG G751J. Its been great laptop for what i need it for though wish to have a desktop.

Any advice and suggestions would be loved.

Honestly I think 4-6K will be a bit overkill, even for VR, you can get a pretty sweet build these days for around about 2-3K. All will sort you out nicely for what i gather you want. Future proofing will be fine too. Ive just build a future proofed pc for around 1500 with a monitor

- SSUPD Meshlicous - Z170I - i7-6700K - Gigabyte 2080 - 16GB Corsair Vengance - 850 EVO 1TB - H115i ICUE Link- SF600

I would say get a prebuilt for that kind of money from somewhere like https://www.originpc.com/landing/2016/titanx/

It would save you time and come pre-overclocked with liquid cooling etc. That's if you wanted to go all out. The benefit of that company in particular is that if you live in the US they offer a lifetime warranty. So if you're really a newbie that's the kind of thing you'd want.

But that would be overkill for a 1080p monitor/workflow/gaming. It's for 4k gaming and media. So I think right now your needs are low but your wants and budget are high.

Budget way too high. You can get a machine that does VR for about 1000 USD. So, are you going for overkill? Or do you just wan't somthing simple.

How do you feel about water-cooling? Do you prefer Higher Resolutions, Refresh Rates, Low Input Lag, Multi Display, or One large?

I knew the budget was insane, but hey that's what i had available. I am looking to your line-up. One extra question, I love my asus products- is there any particular brand you would suggest when it came to motherboard and gpu?

I totally understand the want over budget argument. I love to go up to 4k resolution, just aimed wants lower and budget high to judge from experience users whats available as i start my research and selection process. I will definitely look into orgin pc. Thanks

So water-cooling is a yes. Overkill is kinda optional due to the wish to have a great looking rig that preforms. However, to the display questions- I would love 4k, though i notice pricing for a monitor is high. I would still love to have a nice 28-34" curve if it all possible with budget. With that said, one monitor is all I wish for. Low input lag and high refresh rate is screaming to me. I do want to get the most out of the games I will be playing.

Well, if I was in your case, I would get a GTX 1080 to power THREE 1080P or higher (depending on pricing) projectors placed next to each other spanned around me for the ultimate no bezel surround "Imax" gamming setup!

Now, that is obviously not verry practical and it would require alot of space to make the projectors worth it, but if you have the money and the space, why not?

Maybe a wall mounted pc?

Whole room water cooling?

2 gamers one cpu?

Oil submerged cable suspended rig?

When I say there isn't much you can't do...I wasn't over exaggerating.

A pc for 2,000 Will do everything you want and 4k gaming. That leaves 2-4 THOUSAND for anything else.
