Part Picking

Robitzu

Fist things first, i want to say that i'm from Romania and i'm not buying anything in EUROS or in DOLLARS.

Second, i want to see as many as possible, suggestions.

So i'm about to get my PC and all that stuff... and i don't really know what to do..

I mean i could go for an Asus GTX 960 Strix DirectCU II 4GB and an i3 6100 3.7Ghz and 4 ram DDR3L (v1.35)

Or i could go for an GTX 1060 G1 Gaming 6GB and a very cheap processor.

Now i don't really know what to do... so i was hoping to get some answers from you guys.

Thank you for you time and have a good day!

What is your budget? What are you using this PC for (I assume gaming)? When do you plan to upgrade again? The RX 480 is a better card to use in the long term, but if you plan to upgrade again soon (1-2 years) than a 1060 might be a better buy.

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

Stick with the i3 or a low end i5, and see if you can find a cheap 970. As well as 8GB RAM

Needs money for car parts :P

2250 RON if that helps you :)
Upgrading again, maybe after 2-3 years, but the RX 480 is overkill in my country, i think is the same price as the 1060, but it is like transfered from my currency to dollars would be about 400$..
But... if i get the 1060, i'll be running the system with 2 gb ram ddr3L and a pentium 4, or a g1028 or something close..

Sure, but i can't right of the start, i'll get one more stick of ram of 4gbs after i'll get some money..

8 gbs of ram isn't a big problem, because i'll get some, after i get some money, and i don't really know what to say... i mean an new 970 is equal with an second hand 1060

You can get used 970's for the price of new 960's

That's something, but, i don't really know... because i'm living into a small city and the chance of finding a gtx 970 in my town would be really low...

And i don't really can see if there is everything all right with it just by looking to it.. (graphics card i mean)

EDIT:

The cheapest i could find is this

ASUS Strix GeForce GTX 970, STRIX-GTX970-DC2OC-4GD5, 4GB G

But it is like 237.5 $
And the 960 i want to get is 224.75$

But this guy isn't delivering it anywhere in the country, and he is far away from me...

I hate that i haven't been born in Canada, or America, or whatever.

If you dont want the 480, you could buy the 470 (I would get the 8GB though).  Just get one of the skylake i3's to pair with it.

Anyway, do you have any conventional ways of grounding yourself before building?

Put your PSU in first and plug it into the wall. Touch that every few minutes or when you move around, or you could spend a few bucks and get a anti-static strap.

Just touch your PSU every few minutes then. I wouldn't worry about ESD that much, it is very difficult to damage a part this way (Still possible, just unlikely).

Just place your PSU in your case first and plug it in (Obviously turned off unless you want to be electrocuted) and touch it for a simple way to ground yourself.

Isn't this gonna damage the PSU?

It should be. There are of course better ways to ground yourself (Anti-wrist strap), but this is probably the easiest.

So plug in my PSU into the wall, and turn it off, inside of the case?
And touch it every few minute, for few seconds with one hand?

It doesnt have to be in the case, but you wont have to put in there later if you do. Basicly that.
