Don't know why...simply no input detected by the system. No matter how many times I jam that "NumLock" button and reboot. Maybe it has to do with the registry? The number is so useful for logging in with a PIN...help!

thats been a problem since windows 8, that is related with hybrid boot (what makes windows 8+ boot fast) you have to disable it to get numpad enabled by default on boot.
