Hyperx cloud core to cloud 2 ?

Recently I ordered a hyperx cloud core headset for being the cheapest of the series, I was wondering if I could get the same audio of the cloud II the 7.1 surround sound by adding a usb soundcard that supports 7.1 surround sound

I do use Razer Surround Pro, and so far I like it very much. I have been using it on my Man O'War Overwatch headset, and sound has been great so far. Note that I don't just use it for gaming, but to listen to music, watch videos and YouTube as well. IMO its virtual surround 7.1 sound is great even for music and videos. Of course YMMV as there are those who don't like virtual surround, as well as don't like anything Razer as well.

Razer surround is a really good "Surround simulation".

 

But i wouldn't upgrade to a Cloud 2, since it's just a cheap "USB Soundcard", that's not even good at all.

Everything else is the same (just the soundcard with that "software surround"

 

Just get a Asus Xonar DGX, and use Dolbi headphone. Or optional, Razer surround, and that's it.

You might not get teh EXACT same effect, but basicly they do the same.

 

Don't get your hopes up too far btw. I tried a few simulations, and didn't like any of them. I use Stereo in ALL Games, and like it more than anything else.

Yup for audio gear avoid all USB/cheap audio interfaces. They may do the job but they add noise, distortion, and so much more.

Just keeping this here as a
