So I know that they have released and announced other GPUs such as the 290x , but if can't seem to find any information on the 290 (not x version) as I defo know the x version is going to be out of my price range , but everywhere I search I cannot find any information about it ? So can anyone gives me any heads up or is it still in the unknown

If the 290 is a much lower price I can't see it making much of a difference! The people who have $700 to spend on a GPU arn't looking to save $50 for less performance!

See my Build here!

What prices are the 290 meant to be going around for because I was looking for it to be around the 300-350 pound mark since it's meant to be the new 7950 which was this price around launch

Just get a 7970. the 280x that's in that price range is just a rebranded 7970. But 7970's are around £200 on Scan!

I think the 290 for the 290x will be like the 780 for the titan:

Same gpu, slightly less performance, much lower price.

Also this would be the third GPU to be actually new, not a rebrand, and support true audio at a more affortable price than  the 290x and with better performance than a 260x.
