can any one tell me what might be causing this .

It started after i formatted my pc . i was getting full of junk so i formatted the hdd and reinstalled windows .

the pc works fine ,and is a lot faster than it used to be when booting up and performance after format .

but the bios screen dont show on boot. it directly boots to windows .

If you need to get into the bios unplug the hdd.

EDIT: The bios has setting to skip entering it and going right to the OS

To ask a necessary question, did you try pressing the appropriate key to enter the bios? And was the PC fully shut down or just sleeping?

i5 6600k and GTX 1070 but I play 1600-900. 1440p BABY!

Still, don't put too much faith in my buying decisions. xD

Your bios didn't skip, it still did its job. Your screen is too slow to pick up the signal from your GPU.

ahh i see my gpu has been having problems . when  i play games the game freezes and says nvidia driver stoped responding and has recovered . it happens when the pc is in idle as  well  sometimes . could that be the issue ?

Just saying... that graphics card sucks... :/ I would not accept anything less then a R7 250, or Nvidia Equivalent... unless you don't game, then you're fine.
