Either will be fine. Honestly neither company should be slapping their name on junk items and I would expect them to be smarter than that.

Neither should be put in OPs system let alone any gaming system. You should never cheap out on a PSU http://pcpartpicker.com/product/fZyFf7/seasonic-power-supply-s12ii520bronze

No. EVGA B1 is a cheap HEC design. Both are terrible and whichever one you choose would be a bad choice. Get an EVGA GQ/GS/G2

Agreed.^^^

@Laett your parts list is not very good. What is your budget? What do you have already? Where are you from (country)?

The VS-series is not the one you chose for your build. The one you chose is a CX-series based PSU. The VS-Series is the cheapest series from corsair, I personally have one and found it to be pretty loud and not deliver constant voltage. The CX-Series is basically one step above VS.

Something like this is probably your best bet.

4th or 6th gen i5.

Cheapest compatible motherboard from ASROCK, ASUS, Gigabyte or MSI.

Cheapest 8GB of compatible RAM (all LGA 1150 motherboards use DDR3, most LGA 1151 motherboards use DDR4)

1TB HDD from any brand.

120GB or larger ADATA SP550, Samsung 850EVO, Kingston UV400 or Crucial BX100

R9 380 or RX 480. GTX 1060 if you can fit it into your budget.

What ever case you want

A PSU from the top 2 tiers of this list

The EVGA is way better.

EDIT: But both are not good lol. Get a 650 GQ or something from EVGA. Just remember - don't ever skimp on the power supply. It powers literally everything in your computer, and can likewise brick literally everything in your computer. It's worth it to buy a slightly nicer one.

The EVGA isn't better, it's just had less bad press from people on forums. In reality the new CXM would be completely fine with a 1060 seeing how they use so little power and create no heat.

Your system could use a lot of improvement. An 8320 in this day and age is such a waste of money and would be a colossal bottleneck to the 1060. Get an i5 4460, B85/H81/H97 motherboard, cheaper 8GB set of memory, one single 120GB SSD that isn't the super terrible Silicon Power one, maybe a PNY CS1311, and then an RX480. That should save you some money, hopefully.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

The EVGA has higher efficiency and outputs more amps on the 12V rail, thus my saying it's better. Trust me though, I totally agree that they're both really bad xD lol.

I realize the higher amps are also a result of it being higher wattage, but it still helps to have more. And the ratio of amps/overall wattage is higher for the EVGA.

It's the same 80 PLUS efficiency rating so not really and yeah, it puts out more amps on the 12V rail to hit a rated wattage. Neither of which is really what OP should be buying but OP also needs to get an i5 and better SSD.

True lol.

If I were you, I'd get an air cooler for cheaper than that water cooler (or use Intel stock). Then, upgrade to i5 6400 with extra money. It'll be so incredibly better. You don't need watercooling if you aren't overclocking heavily (which you would not with a locked i5).

Instead of those SSDs, buy a single 850 EVO 250GB. It's a better drive for about the same price as those two combined. Buy from seller on Amazon, they start at $79.

Take a look at this chart. Then choose one that you can afford.

I think Seasonic's PSUs are always decent. Again, check the specific model , not the brand.

For example corsair has top notch PSUs like the AX series, also has the shitter CX series.

PSU chart.jpg

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.
