Using a Console Controller As a PC Mouse

Just wondering if it would be possible to use a console controller as a mouse for a PC. I've seen console controllers hooked up to PCs for emulators, so I figure why not. I figure I could try writing drivers for it if I went in deep enough. Obviously there would be extra buttons but I'm just checking.

You can do that with Xpadder iirc. The touchpad on the PS4 controller also works fine on PC if you got one of those, you just need to install InputMapper or DS4Windows.

I decided console just for a side project to see what can/could be done

Although there are multiple programs for it, unless you have the program(s) set to open on start-up then you will need to use a mouse and may have a slight delay when waiting for the program(s) to load.

if you own a dualshock 4 you can download a program called ds4windows. When you get everything configured it works really great, and you can use the touchpad a s a mouse.
