3 pole lav mic does not work.

I just got this $20 lav mic and i was it had 3 poles, but thought nothing of it, but when i plugged it in nothing happens. So then i went to my mac, it worked just fine altho it thught it was also a headset so i could not hearout from the mac. My iphone can not search for apps(dont ask why) so i can not see if it work on that.

Sounds like it's a 4 pole connector.

Macbooks usually have the Headphone/mic connector combo that uses 4 connections.
