144 Hz Monitor?

Id go for a 144hz at 1440p if you can afford it but if you cannot. It depends on what games you play and what you want to get from your games.

1070 is expensive. I would go for R9 Fury (massive deals are on recently) that will let you play 1080 and 1440 easily (Please refrain from commenting on 4GB memory which is not an issue). Pair it with Freesync monitor (AOC does cheap freesync monitors)  and you will be the happiest man on earth.

 

This is exactly what I did just last week and I have no regrets.
