Its gotta be a soft, but what do you guys have for me? I'm thinking of the steelseries QCK, I only have 20 dollars btw. If anybody knows any sites where I can get a custom design thats still good for gaming that would be cool too.

I recommend the SteelSeries QCK. One of the best mousepads I've ever used. Nice and big too

Edit: Also comes in the QCK Mini, + and heavy

Can be found here: https://steelseries.com/gaming-mousepads/qck

Thanks man, I have enough to get one of those custom ones from inked gaming AND the QCK so if I don't like the inked gaming one I can just use the qck.

A mouse pad is a mouse pad. There is no such thing as  "gaming" mouse pads. Iv been using QCK for like 6 years now. They are good. Using qck heavy atm. Its a cloth and thick pad.

I disagree, I've been gaming on a walmart mouse pad with a graphic of a puppy wearing ear buds on it and its been less than optimal.

O lel

The first two links show XL and XL heavy

and then the ham was the extended one that is 23.99

They are really good quaility and as good as the QCK. They are also cheaper than the SS qck by a couple of bucks.

Still a workable mouse pad. Factor I care about when buying a mouse pad is size and if its a cloth

To an extent your statement is true. Gaming on a mousemat with a bunch of random colors and images like puppy is not optimal for performance. Optical sensors track way better on dark colors than on light cloth pads. There are certain surfaces that make it optimal for a sensor to track on. Logitech has a whole video on how they optimized and test different surfaces to calibrate and make sure there mice pass certain standards.

12:07 is when they start talking about surface's role in sensor tracking

Some brands make good pads with graphics. Using a qck with a c9 graphic on it and I have no issues. But too me its still just a mouse pad. If you notice tracking issues then get a new one other than that no reason to bother.  But in OP case yes get a new mouse pad

Edit. Iv noticed problems when using Logitech calibration software. Mouse bugging out randomly

I hear that the QCK + is really thin and wears out fast.

Mines wore out after 6 months.  But the way I had it at the time was that it was hanging off the side and I just kept grinded against and same thing with my Mionix Sargas 900. But if you are worried Razer Goliathus pretty much is the same thing. 10 bucks more but they have the edges stitched to prevent fraying
