144Hz VS 4K monitor

Hello, i am trying to buy monitors for my gaming center and trying to figure out which monitor I should buy, One is a regular 1080 with 144Hz and other is regular 4K monitor............... which is better????

What is your budget?

 

What is your CPU and GPU? can you even run games at 4k?

 

Personally I think 1440p 144hz is a better option

depends on what you like. smooth playback or stunning quality

you might concider buying a 1440p monitor

you have an higher resolution than 1080p monitor and higher refresh rate than 4K monitor

Thank you guys, I would like a budget as low as possible, The 1440p with higher RR is actually pretty great idea, thank you, i will go for higher FPS than quality, after all it is CS and Dota kinda games, so, Thank you................ :D:D:D

I'd say go for a 144hz display.

Once you go 144hz, you never go back. Easy as that.

If you have the rig for it, games will be smoother than a baby's butt.
