Used Hard Drives

I am looking to pick up some WD red or other branded NAS 2tb NAS drives for use in a home server, they do not need to be new but if anyone could point me in the direction of a good deal let me know.

most people would advise against buying used hard drives since you can never know what the previous owner has done to the drive...like dropping it

Arrived in a week, all of them worked, no bad sectors, all surived 3 days of torture test. They were used for about 3 years.

Just a note from me: if you are going for second-hand drives (regardless of the brand or model) I would strongly recommend to ask for a S.M.A.R.T. status for you to check if everything is OK with the drive and a corresponding serial number of the status so you can verify that the data belongs to the drive that you are purchasing. Also, when you get the drives it's a good idea to run an extensive test for bad/problematic sectors. For the WD Red drives a good tool for this would be WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic.
