Hey guys. I am wondering if i will need a ssd for my build. I will mostly be playing video games and maybe recording a few videos. Could i buy a hard drive and buy a ssd later or do I need both? Here is my build?http://pcpartpicker.com/list/C4N6RG

*Note I have already bought my motherboard and case.

You could really do either.  If you have the money buy both and install the OS on the SSD for quick boot speeds.  Having an SSD for loading games is nice but if you don't mind waiting a little longer for loading then an SSD isn't essential.

I would personally skip the SSD now to save a few bucks. No reason to buy a shitty SSD (V300) at a shitty size (120 GB) just to squeeze it into a tight budget right now. The best thing about SSDs is speeding up loading of games, and 120 GB isn't much space. Save getting the SSD for later when you can get something nice like an 850 EVO 250GB or larger, something both fast and with enough room to install a few games to in the age of 30-60 GB game installs.

I'd also advise stepping up to the i5-4590. Sure it's $10 more, but it's 9% faster, that's a great deal to me. The 4590 will run at 3.5 GHz on all cores in gaming loads while the 4460 runs at 3.2 GHz on all cores in gaming loads. I don't know why the 4460 is so recommended on this forum. It's a strong gaming cpu, but I'd easily pay 5.5% more for a 9% faster clockspeed in the 4590 vs the 4460.

It runs at the 3.5 GHz quadcore turbo in gaming. From the link below you can see that's the quadcore turbo for the i5-4590, while the quadcore turbo is 3.2 GHz for the i5-4460. In gaming loads you'll always be running at the quadcore turbo unless your case is massively hot. My Xeon E3-1231v3 stays at its full 3.6 GHz quadcore turbo in gaming on the stock cooler in the middle of summer in Texas with really high ambient temps.
