If the motherboard is really that old, it probably has pcie 2.1 equipped, which had a significantly smaller transfer rate than 3.0. Although it is hard to max out a pcie slot, you might see a bottleneck if running a newer, more powerful card.

That said, there is no way a 750 is going to max it out, and you are probably safe with an RX 460 as well.

Go with whichever has a higher base clock, because overclocking on that old mobo will not be fun.

PCIe 2.0 x16 is fine for ANY GPU on the market
