So I got my zelf  a new SSD and I want to make a clean install and make the SSD my main disk.

I made a USB boor key with the tools from windows website for windows 10 (usb is called ESD-USB and is 3.31 GB)

But whenever I try to boot it I get a bluescreen with an error called "0xc0000098".

I think that I need to change something in my bios of my P8H77-V-LE motherboard to fix this.

So my question is if anyone knows how to fix it?

Specs

Asus P8H77 V LE

USB plugged in motherboard

Screen plugged in motherboard

New 850 EVO SSD

4x4Gb ram

Processor

Huntkey PSU

Just a note. If I reconnect my old drive and start windows from that one its fine.

The screen tells you, "The operating system couldn't be loaded because a required file is missing or corrupt" then later File : ci.dll.

That file is missing or corrupt so you'll need to recreate the USB installer.

I downloaded and reinstalled the USB 3 times now.

How are you trying to boot from the key? Are you pressing f12 when turning on the computer and then selecting the key from the list?

I start the pc,

I press F2 for the boot screen

I press F8 for the boot menu

I click the USB (only one listed)

Remake your USB installer. Format it properly before creating it.

Did you checksum the ISO to be sure that isn't corrupted?

For USB is it giving you a UEFI option or Legacy option?

When in doubt, re-format.
