My budget is $1,500. I'd also like it to be modular or semi.

Im buying from MSY and Mwave, since I can pickup from there and save postage.

For your needs you're going to want a fairly high quality PSU. Select from this list either a Tier 1 or T2 unit. This list covers Series of units, rather than specific models, so you're going to have to choose the wattage for your build (500W is plenty for your needs, but more isn't a bad thing). It was recently updated, and is reasonably accurate.

I guess if the (Antec TPC-550 550W True Power Classic 80Plus Gold Power Supply Unit) will supply enough power and is good then I'll get it.

I picked 2 PSUs from this list and what do you think is better?

$115 - Antec HCG-620M 620W High Current Gamer 'Modular' Gaming PSU

$119 - Thermaltake Toughpower 550W 80 GOLD PSU

I do not know enough about PSU's to tell you which is better. All I know is that the Thermaltake is a T2 PSU, and the HCG is a T3 PSU according to that list. The T2 should be better based on that alone. If you wish to know more specifics than that, you will have to go look up independent reviews of the product.

The Antec is better. The Toughpower Grand is the good one, not the gold ?

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Did I mislabel it or something cuz I thought I made the Toughpower Grand tier two and the Gold like tier five.
