1060 vs RX480 for VR

I want to make a inexpensive VR capable machine for my friend and I was wondering which one would be better for VR. I know its kind of early to ask for advice like this because the custom RX480's haven't come out yet but what do you guys think atm?

It's looking like a 4gb AIB 480 or an AIB 1060 as the best choices. 50 extra bucks help increase performance a decent chunk in some games so it depends on your budget and what you find available but you can narrow it down to those 2 choices.

rx480 for dx12 and future 1060 for dx11

I'd say either/or. Checking the reviews of the 1060 shows that it beats the RX 480 in most games. Which headset will you be going with?

As you can see you need more than that level of graphics card for VR. I'd look for a used or one sale 980ti.

you could always start with one 480 and then later upgrade to crossfire though.

I think ill try to grab a custom rx 480 and oc it unless if I can find a better pre-owned option.Thanks for the input guys ?
