I play h1z1 and I have a 60hz monitor so I have to use V-Sync and whenever I have V-Sync on it makes my frames drop down to 45 fps when I didn't have V-Sync on it wasn't going that far down is there any way I can make it so it doesn't drop down to 40 fps with V-Sync and if I don't have V-Sync on I get really bad tearing

Using V-Sync lowers your FPS in most cases, i'd just say stick without it and maybe turn the graphics settings down so you get more fps, then you won't have really bad tearing

Even if I set my max fps without V-Sync on it still has tearing

And Turing the graphics settings down doesn't change anything

in theory it shouldnt. those cases like here where it dunks you below 60FPS generally point to bad coding.

As with every survival game nowadays (Day Z, Rust and Ark) it seems to be coded by apes on meth.

i... i cannot prove you wrong here...

- minecraft runs on java, only an ape on meth would make a game in java (congrats to that ape on meth for it running as well as it does th)

- unturned... has that many design oversights that it cannot not be a joke.

- i think it was actually H1Z1 that halved in FPS when a friend had a mobo failure, and had to temporary exchange his 4790k for an FX8350.

- ark... is so laggy even on low compared to high that even with a shyte card you may as well max it out because it pretty much does not matter. (i heard they fixed it, but i also heard that it's still horrible)

- rust... only an ape on meth would use a paid userbase as a horrible social experiment

sadly, it's usually a case of "the right game, by the wrong person"

 

rust has great potential, i'd dare even say it has greater potential than minecraft.

 

sadly the dev is an actual dipshit, and would rather use that potential for his fucked up social experiments and playing god.
