i have a wierd question 

i have the cooler master k282 pc case and it has a different GPU installation mechanism from the standard in cases today

i just wanted to know if the kind of mechanism could do any damage to the GPU because it is so wierd 

i dont really know why they didnt just make it as all standard pc cases do you ?

the only problem is smashing the gpu into the cage of the case but luckily the new pascal GPU has this pcb protector so i guess it will be fine

Various manufacturers will use different ways of securing parts down to keep costs to a minimum whilst keeping quality. Cooler Master just decided to use a different way of securing the graphics card differently.

Backplate or what ever i am not familier with plastics on pcbs LOL

but yea hope it was standard because cooler master's idea of securing the GPU sucks

because you neeed to find the thin gap between the motherboard and the case to put the metal peace of the GPU where the connectors are then you can scratch the motherboard while looking for it.....
