CPU Wattage

Is this the Wattage from PSU that my CPU is taking if so i though it would be a lot more? my pc was idling at this current time..

At idle, CPUs underclock themselves. So you see that tiny wattage.

That wattage is just what the CPU is using. If you want a total of your system consumption you need a wattage meter which goes between your PUS's plug and your socket.

It varies from part to part, but it should be 65 to 70W. The TDP (Thermal Design Power) is the maximum amount of heat your cooler is required to dissipate, but doesn't refer to the power a part consumes (though they are often similar numbers).

It's a rough estimation of what the CPU is pulling. Not the actual wattage being pulled.

They are not the same. Heat (or thermal energy) is the total energy of molecular motion of particles in a substance. Temperature is a measure of the average energy of the same.

 

EDIT: For example, the energy in a large tub of water at room temperature is more than that in a small glass of water at room temperature, but they're both at the same temperature.
