I have two choices, to upgrade my CPU and the motherboard or a graphics card. I wanted to upgrade to a 6700k and buy a motherboard for the 1151 socket, or buy a Gtx 1070 (I am going to buy both in the end)

So should i upgrade my CPU or my graphics card, my graphics card is getting pretty old right now, about 5 years, so is the CPU.

My current graphics card is the XFX Radeon HD 6850, and my CPU is the AMD Phenom(tm) X2 3.30 Ghz

I'm not sure if my graphics card is dying or is it just Windows 10, since i upgraded i've been having problems!

sorry if there is any spelling mistakes, I'm writing this too early!

Any reason for the 6700k? Could get something cheeper and save up a bit more and get it all. Please note you will need new RAM.

I would go for i7 6700k first, then buy GPU.

That amd CPU already bottleneck your GPU most likely, so GTX 1070 wouldn't make any sense with that CPU xD

But you need to have decent PSU. Don't use some 430W that you got together with PC case.

Agreed. It's not only CPU+GPU upgrade, you will need new RAM and a new PSU. Don't neglect the power supply ! I would also go for the combo CPU/mobo/RAM first, and then the GTX 1070. It makes more sense

CPU : i7 8700k @5GHz, GPU : ASUS GTX 1080 Ti STRIX, RAM : 2x8Go 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance, MB : ASUS Prime Z370-A, PSU : CM V850, Case :  NZXT S340, CPU Cooler : NZXT Kraken x62, Monitor : Acer Predator XB271HU 27" 1440p 165Hz, OS : Windows 10 Home 64 bits

Well I have to buy a new GPU, my graphics card has died, now I have to use the HD 4500 graphics that come with the motherboard until my 1070 comes!

I hope your power supply is up to par.

woahhh man it's probably not worth upgrading that machine...you need both upgrades really bad...i would recommend you look at cheaper parts like i5-6500 and GTX 1060 or something...
