What do you guys think about this?

PSU should provide enough power. however, 8GB of RAM is not future proof. Its barely acceptable for new builds today. And don't get a K series chip if he isn't going to overclock it.

A. You have a B150 board with a K SKU CPU....so either get a 6700 or get a Z170 board.

B.  I don't think the 1080 is worth buying at the moment, especially the FE since it's so bloody expensive.

C. Since this is such a high end build, I would probably recommend something that is 80 Plus Gold At least, something from EVGA, Seasonic would do.

D. 8GB of RAM....is not remotely future proof....

This is gonna be a friends build and he wanted it to be future proof, so whats your opinion? Im thinking the PSU is probably underpowered but im unsure.

Interesting... You've spent big money on CPU & GPU, but everything else is cheap.

If you're wanting to future proof, you'll want 16GB of RAM but otherwise looks fine.

You need a Z series motherboard if you want to overclock, I'd get 16GB of RAM, and if possible a larger SSD. That size fills up awfully quickly, especially if you try and download larger files (movie sets, TV series, etc)

-Cannot overclock on a B150 motherboard, you'll need a Z170 motherboard.

-I'd change that CPU cooler to the Cryorig H7. The EVO is cheap but overrated when there are other similar budget options which are better.

-Power supply isn't up to scratch. At least a grey Corsair CX unit but the EVGA SuperNOVA 550 G2 would be ideal for a top end rig such as this.

-16GB of RAM for a build at this price.

-The Founder's Edition GTX 1080 runs hot and comes at an absurd price premium. Pick up a better aftermarket variant such as the EVGA FTW Gaming.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.
