College Laptop

Ok so i am an incoming college freshman(BIO Major) and need a laptop. I want something 13-15 inches that is fast, lightweight and has good battery life. I am also not trying to break the bank(Around or below 1500$USD). What do you guys have in mind? NO APPLE PLEASE

what is "breaking the bank" for you?
check out apple, "fast", lightweight and good battery life, although its expensive asf.

try for business grade laptops. My probook 4530s is extremely good for its age and money(500buck)

What is your budget?  Because breaking the bank is different for everyone.  I mean, great battery life, simple to use, (if you pay for it) a good warranty, quite speedy, I'd say get a MacBook Air or MacBook Pro.

There are decent laptops from Dell, HP, Acer, etc, for more or less money.

My personal experience with business laptops is that most of this is true.  But all business laptops I've ever used were thick and heavy, and had horrible battery life.  Unless things improved since the old HP I used to use.

yup they have my probook is THICK AND HEAVY the new probooks are slim and light. the elitebook is supposed to be damn thin

Well damn, they have improved then.  I mean, I'd still recommend him a MacBook Pro over a business laptop.  But I will admit that I have some bias as I really like MacOS though.  I'd recommend that if he went a little cheaper, and then did the hardware upgrades (such as RAM and SSD himself) to save some money.  Make sure it has great battery life though.

I myself have a lenovo x250 i5 5th gen , and the experience is pretty solid. i can watch 4k with slight lag and 108060fps with no problem's.
