Make sure:

  • Power is actually plugged in at the back
  • Power switch on socket and PSU are on
  • Motherboard connector can't just be pulled out, is clipped in place
  • Power switch is on the correct pins

If there's still nothing, even if you short the 2 power pins on the motherboard with a paperclip, then maybe your PSU is faulty.

I edit my posts a lot.

One thing that came to mind (because i did this yeasterday)... check if the power button cable that connects from the front of your case, to the motherboard is actually plugged into the right pins

Make sure:

- The AC outlet you're using is actually "live". Plug in a lamp or something to make sure it works.

- The switch on the power supply is set to "1" or ON.

- make sure the case's power switch actually works and is connected to the proper pins on the motherboard. You can manually short the PWR pins to check.

-  the case's reset switch is not shorted. Easiest way to check is to disconnect it. (this actually happened to me once and caused several hours of running in circles.:) )

-  you have the CPU's ATX power connected (the 4/8-pin connector on the motherboard)

-  you have the CPU cooler's fan connected to the CPU_FAN connector. Some systems won't start if no fan is detected.

- to reset the BIOS using the hardware jumper, to make sure there's no rogue settings preventing the system from staring.
