which is better Intel Core i7-5820K Haswell-E 6-Core 3.3 GHz LGA 2011-v3 140W BX80648I75820K Desktop Processor or Intel Core i7-6700K 8M Skylake Quad-Core 4.0 GHz LGA 1151 91W BX80662I76700K Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 530

It depends in certain applications but in general terms for gaming the 6700K would be better suited for that where the extra cores of the extreme editions are most unseful in multi-threaded applications like rendering.

but the 5820k is cheaper on newegg buy like $300

The i7 6700K should be a good portion cheaper though. Plus, the cost of X99 motherboards is significantly more over Z170 motherboards.

In the end, it depends on what you're doing.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

It depends on the type of workload you plan on doing.

If you're just a gamer go for the 6700k, better single core performance and practically a generation newer.
