So I'm wondering what would happen if youre using your computer and ur PSU fails / dies and cant be used again. Does everything in your computer break too?

As well as, im using a prebuilt PC right now and it has a 350 Watt PSU (nothing fancy) and i plan on installing a GTX 750 ti SC (300 Watt PSU minimum), Im just afraid 350 watt PSU wont be enough for it and if it does die my whole computer dies with it.

Would my prebuilt 350 PSU be enough for it? Or what new power supply should i get? (On a budget if you have any suggestions please mak it as cheap as possible D:)

Thankkks

The 750 Ti will be fine on 350W, don't worry about that.

Most prebuilt PSUs are at least OK since the OEM doesn't want to provide warranty on PSUs that constantly crap themselves, so it shouldn't be an issue. Any decent power supply with protection circuits will die without killing anything a vast majority of cases

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

SC doesn't require anymore power than a stock 750ti. The SC just means it's stock speed is slightly higher than a standard 750ti. It's overclocked out of the box without using more power.

Yeah but its a 750 TI Super Clocked , doesnt SC require more power or something?

the 750Ti is limited to the amount of watts it can draw through the PCIe slot. so pretty much all 750Ti's can only draw about 75watts from your system, since they don't have any 6 or 8 pin connectors.

Is it 100% that itll take my system?

Here's a worst-case scenario for you: I had a PSU fail spectacularly on me once. How spectacularly? It took out the PSU, my motherboard and my i7-4790K. So yeah, it absolutely can take out your entire system, but it almost certainly won't. Think of it this way: if PSUs dying and taking out the entire system was a routine occurrence, do you think you'd have people dropping thousands of dollars on a PC?

Also, you're fine with a 350W PSU for a 750 Ti. I'm running one on a 300W with no problems.

I have an EVGA 750 Ti with a six-pin connector. Unnecessary? Sure, but it overclocks like a beast.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.
