Long gone are the days of buying "gaming computers" from manufacturers and in comes the era of the custom build. But so many different parts go together in so many different ways, and each combination of parts are useful for their own different types of things. Now, I am looking for a PC build for about $1700 dollars and I want it to be good for editing and content creation, as well as smash the frame rates in the most demanding games of the 21st century. Here is the partpicker link for the future build, and all changes will have to conform to my black and white color scheme. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/x8TQZ8

EDIT: The part picker links keep changing a lot since I am constantly editing it.

The build is fantastic but I would change the PSU to an EVGA G2 or GQ model. The Nex series wasn't very well made. EVGA didn't really start making good model until the G2 series came out.

But with that being said you can also look at PSU's from other companies like Seasonic, XFX, or Antec for a decent one around the same price.

Also I'd recommend the Zotac Amp 1070 for the same price over the MSi Armor.

Gaming Desktop - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus, 32GB Cosair Vengenace LP 3600mhz, EVGA RTX 3070 XC3 Ultra,  Sabrent Rocket 4 1TB NVME SSD, Crucial P3 4TB NVME SSD, 4TB Mass storage, EVGA 750W G2, NZXT H9 Flow

Id probably get a 6700k and a 1080

First of all budget is an issue. I can't fit the 1080 and since I am only gaming at 1080p, and don't plan to upgrade my monitor anytime soon, It isn't necessary. Also the skylake 6700, doens't perform as well in content creation as the 5820k.

Yes but is the Zotac Amp black or white? Color Scheme is really important to me and I do not want to paint my gpu. SO other than that it is just the PSU?

Black with white accents

Here is the EVGA PSU I'm running right now. You don't need to worry about looks. The cords are all black and the stickers on the actual unit itself are fairly conservative.

Thanks, I think I will go with that PSU, but what advantages are their when buying the Zotac Amp over the MSI armor.

The Zotac is going to be slightly faster is probably going to OC better as it uses two 8 pin connectors, if you plan on OCing that is. Which with a build like this I really hope you do.

Zotac card also has RGB lighting so you can make it pop with your color theme.
