Is this cheap 300w PSU enough for a 750TI?

Nope... this one is not available in my country either >_>

I might just buy a cheap case and an Antec VP400P instead.

Alright, so my friend has a pre-built Acer pc (model: X3995) and he would like to get a better GPU. The problem is that that it has a strange form factor psu, which looks somewhat like TFX, but the length and height of the PSU are quite different. And the PSU is only rated at 220w. However, I have found a 300W replacement. But it seems quite crappy, and I cannot find any information about the efficiency of it.

Here is a link to the PSU.

Now, it says in the description that it has 2 12v rails which operate at 12a each. Will that be enough to power a GTX 750TI?

I have a low-profile MSI GTX 750 Ti running with an i3-6100 on a 300w power supply, and nothing's blown up yet.

That particular PSU on the other hand...I think the picture of it in front of an explosion should speak to you.

If the CPU also uses little power 300W its ok, the 750 Ti just uses 60W, but needs to be a nice PSU, I dont know this one.

Why you would do that? you're buying a time bomb. i rather not buy cheap PSU because, 89% of the time is a creeper from minecraft. IT DESTROY YOUR MOST LOVED THING.

It like buy a 4000$ computer and the the lowest cost PSU, then 1 week later you found your computer BURNED by the EX¨PLOSIVE PSU.

im sure there's some safe PSU that cost around 60$

Nope, this is the highest wattage PSU that will fit inside his case.

I am not gonna buy it, since it looks like a piece of shit. I am going to try and see if I can find a TFX PSU that will fit inside his case.

You cannot even fit a regular sized GPU in there.

I think i have seen a mini-ITX case that fit a ATX PSU and a 980TI. my question is, can you buy a case that can fit everything. or you friend just want a "console" type of pc?

He wants to stick with his case, since it does not make sense to spend a crapton of money on a new case, PSU, and GPU.

The case will fit a LP 750ti just fine. The thing is, that I do not live in America and that PC parts are quite a bit more expensive here. That case might cost 45$ in USA, but it is priced at 70$ where I live. A decent  PSU costs at least 80$, and A 750TI costs at least 140$. Which is  a total of 290$.

That PSU might actually fit.

It's loud when the fan kicks in, FYI. Very reliable and has held up to heavy gaming, even some light rendering, but it is not even close to silent when under load. I believe it's an industrial unit, so silence was not high on the list for Seasonic when they built it.

I am talking about the friggin' cost. He is not willing to waste 300$ just to get a low end GPU.
