Hello guys, I am looking for a high wattage UPS to buy. My air conditioner has recently been screwing with my electricity, and my components have been drawing too much electricity, causing, under high stress, to lose power to my room. I need a UPS with enough wattage to be able to keep my custom pc, xbox one, and a few other things running, in order to not have them lose power during an outage. I was wondering, what can and can't you run on a UPS? Also, can you use them to charge devices? I'd like it to be affordable as possible, but if need be, it is fine to suggest something of a higher price. All help is appreciated, thank you in advance.

What's your budget, how long are the outages and what are the specs of your PC?

The outages are as long as it takes me to reset the breaker, so about 5 min. The budget for me is whatever is reasonable.

Here's a UPS that I would recommend: https://www.amazon.com/APC-BR1500G-Back-UPS-10-outlet-Uninterruptible/dp/B003Y24DEU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1468879539&sr=8-1&keywords=back-ups+pro

You can also try to connect different things to different circuits (temporarily) with an extension cord.

I'll look into this, thanks for the help, it is much appreciated.

As mentioned that APC unit would be good and more than enough for your needs, but as for your power going out it's not going to stop happening unless you move that AC unit to another circuit as most portable AC units themselves can take the full capacity of a single breaker alone.

I'm aware, thank you though. I am working on fixing the issue, although it is going to take a lot of work most likely.

You need to call an electrician ASAP, or get the AC off that circuit... overloading the circuit heats up the wires, which catches things on fire.

Last I checked, running a new circuit was cheaper than buying a new computer/house.

Thank you for your concern, I'm aware of what the issue is and I'm working on a fix.
