I was thinking to buy a AMD A10 - 6800K 4,10Ghz, because now I have a AMD dual core of 3,8Ghz and my PC is struggling when I play some game.

Well my question is: if I buy the quad core 4,1Ghz, can I upgrade the graphic card? Now I have a GTX 750Ti OC and I want to upgrade at least with a GTX 1060 or RX 480. Will have some problem? Will be a bottleneck? Will be a powerfull PC to play the last games?

Thanks for the help!

Please don't buy an amd cpu, get a better bang for buck Intel chip. Or an 8350.

not that an 8350 is a very worthy chip to get, getting an 8-core FX kinda also implies a more expensive motherboard and cooling solution.

FX 83xx is pretty viable if you can find it on sale for around $110 CAD. Even with a motherboard and cooler, it's about $100 cheaper than most of the decent i5s. For gaming, it's good enough. It'd definitely keep pace with the RX 480.

I'd ditch the FM2 platform though. Not worth it at all.

If we're buying at normal retail prices though, you'd be better off going with an i5.

Motherboards typically die before CPUs, so meh.

Fx-83xx is adequate for the majority of games.

If you're going to upgrade, it's best to do it in one shot.

with zen (maybe) around the corner and cheap i5's for days it'd be best to not hop on a dying platform so late in the game. three years ago an fx 8350 might've been a good idea but not today.

Which is why I said if you can get it cheap, go for it. Otherwise, i5.

you can buy 8300 on budget if you want or simply wait for new AMD CPUs coming end of this year (maybe). I would suggest, find used CPU as good as you can fit in your MB and buy 480. Most of games use GPU performance instead of CPU so you should be fine for a while. And wait for new AMD CPUs and make proper upgrade. I think it doesnt worth to spend money on new MB, CPU and cooler and have 83xx cpu or i5.

So wich way should go? Wait and buy a beter Mother Board and a new CPU, cooling and a GPU? Or just go with the best CPU that I can get for my Mother Board?

And if I do the firts thing I go the way of Intel or stay on AMD?

Thanks for the answers!
