Installing iPhone Apps on external iOS drive

Hi.

 

A friend of mine has an iPhone 5c with 8GB of storage. They are frequently running out of space but don't have the money to upgrade.

 

I've seen all of those Lightning drives about, and I know that you generally use them for photos and videos but I'm wondering if you can install iOS apps on it because I've seen like the SanDisk iXpand case that holds the phone. 

 

Would something like that work for storing their apps as well as some photos and VIDEOS?

yeah no, not even /r/jailbreak could figure out where does the lightning case things mount on the iOS file system..

no, you can't install apps on it, only store photos.

Nope its essentially like a cloud drive that is stored locally and ca only be used for backing up large amounts of data

 

it does not increase the internal storage

 

Its your friends fault for buying an 8gb phone, tell them to sell it and buy a new one
