Loosing speed?

Go to solution Solved by failblox,

What I think is happening here is that the cache (not the SSD part of the SSHD) on the SSHD is being filled up first with whatever it is you're trying to copy. This happens with my 4TB WD Black as well every time I try to copy file(s) that are decently large. The SSHD is slower than the cache, so after a while data gets backed up and it hits a bottleneck, thus slowing the transfer speeds slow down. The cache is substantially faster than the HDD itself, which is why you get such fast speeds at first, but since there isn't much, it slows down relatively quickly. Generally the cache is supposed to help make small file transfers quicker.

How come my pc always does this?

Every item or file that you want to transfer has to be registered and figured out what it is, the more items that is the slower it can be.

This is not a state of fact, it is my own though and through my own testing. But if you take 1 file, that doesn't have a lot of extra files inside of it or anything and transfer that file, you should get the full available speed.

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.
