V sync

When I play h1z1 I get tears in the screen a lot and when I turn on v sync it does nothing so I don't know what to do

Try locking the fps at your monitor's refresh rate (probably 60) instead of vsync.

If the game doesn't support fps lock, bandicam does and you can use it for free.

Some games have fps lock int he settings, some don't. It's not the same as vsync, and sometimes works better or worse. It's worth a shot...

Bandicam is a screen recorder wtf what does that have to do with it

Bandicam has a lock fps function that you can use on any game, and it's helped some people in the past with their screen tearing.
