Its soul porpose is gaming and everyday computing. I already have a 27 inch screen (Asus VX279Q) and i already have all the other peripherals. I have built 3 rigs in the past so i have some knowlege of pc building.

Here are the system parts:

CPU = Intel CPU i5-4670K, MOTHERBOARD = Asus TUF Series GRYPHON Z87, GPU = Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 Overclocked Windforce, CASE = Corsair Obsidian Series 350D Performance Micro ATX Case,

MEMORY = Corsair Memory Vengeance Black 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz, PSU = Corsair CP-9020065-UK 2013 Edition GS 800W, HDD = Seagate ST1000DX001 1TB Solid state hybrid drive

So what do think of the system?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the replies will consider all your thoughts when buying. I was thinking about getting a ssd later on, but i will see if i can push my budget a bit more to get one now. Also i am more of a nvidia fan, however the new amd series of gpu's looks pretty decent so might consider it after i see some benchmarks from linustechtips youtube channel.

thank you all for replying

Nvidia is just highly priced for the performance you get from them. So when you want to be abit carefull with budget, the AMD line is always something to look at.

How much off an audiophile are you? Asus RoG boards have great onboard sound. so that is something to consider.

When will you buy/build it? A few more days till AMD releases their new cards. I highly suggest to wait for the benchmarks off those things. And check the price.

NZXT Phantom windowed, Asus Z77 Sabertooth, Intel 2600K, Noctua NH-D14, EVGA 780 Classified, Crucial Ballistic Tactical, Crucial M4 128GB + Samsung 850 EVO, Corsair RM850, Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty Peripherals: Sennheiser HD598, FinalMouse Classic, SteelSeries Qck Heavy, Ducky Shine Zero (MX Brown), AOC G2460PF & Qnix QX2710

Build Log: Phantom - Antique Noctua

I will get the system in the next 2-4 weeks hopefully. Also i not much of a audiophile at the moment as i dont have decent headphones so it wont make a difference right now. However is it still worth going with the rog board??

2-4 weeks, wait for the benchmarks from the new R9 AMD. Then see how good they are compared to nvidia. The not comfirmed benchmarks I saw off the R9-290x beats the titan by a bit, while beeing 729$. (aswell this price can change!)

For the motherboard It depends, if you later on buy a better headphone, then the RoG board will make a good diffrence. If not, then you can get a way cheaper board wich will perform the same, the only thing that really stands out for me on the rog boards is the sound. For a 900pound budget, I would really not suggest to buy a rog board if you don't care to much about sound. You are much better off to get a better GPU.

Edit: Here is a build that is SLI ready, OC ready. Red color scheme aswell. If you don't care about the looks, then I can make something diffrent. (210pounds left for GPU)

The 7970 and 770 are pretty much neck to neck.

2-4 weeks is a while from now. You should planning at most 3 days before you buy the parts and at best right before then. Parts and prices change frequently. Plan later.

It's only worth getting the ROG board if you want to pay more for the features and the looks. Performance is the same. From what I see so far, it'd be a waste of money in your case.
