1080 supply problems?

Go to solution Solved by Hunter-97-G,

There's less stock of 1080 than on 1070 because the GDDR5X chips are more expensive to produce, thus there are less of them at the moment.

Sorry if this has been asked before but is there any news on 1080 supplies? I'm so tired of nothing in stock and the people with them on Ebay and even Amazon pricing is out of control. For some reason the 1070's aren't hard to get as I can run to MC right now and get two of those. Since I have a 4K monitor I'm trying to hold out for two 1080's but this is getting annoying or am I just impatient?

CPU: i7 5820K Motherboard: AsRock x99x Fatality RAM: 32GB Corsair DDR4 3000mhz GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 ti SC2 Case: Corsair 780T Storage: Samsung 950 Pro M.2, Samsung EVO 500gb and various WB Storage PSU: EVGA 1300 G2 Display: TBD

Guess it depends on your country. Just checked one internetshop here in germany and there are currently 4 different versions of the 1080 in stock. (is in stock correct? It looks wrong )
