Do you already have ddr3 memory and 1150 motherboard?

If no, then go for 1151 motherboard and i5 6500/6600K CPU.

Well in that case I would suggest you to go with newer version of CPUs.

I don't know why would you buy old generation when there is new one avaliable. Unless for some weird reason it costs 50% less.

But as far as I know, both generations cost the same right now.

 

If you still wanna be on 1150 socket, try to get i5 4690k because you can later OC it if you need more power. It will be better than Xeon.

 

But between i5 4460 and E3 1120: The one that is cheaper is better. Kinda same performance so it's only question of price :)
