I brought an ASUS Z170-E Motherboard. How to use the given CPU Installer? It seems like i have to touch the cpu in order to push it to the installer, is it ok to touch the cpu bottom?

you mean installing a cpu ? Yes you just push it and use the retention bar to lock it into place. Of course the correct way, aka the golden triangle on the cpu and on the board shows which way is the correct way to install the cpu.

NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER STOP LEARNING. DONT LET THE PAST HURT YOU. YOU CAN DOOOOO IT

He is talking about the CPU installation tool that some Asus Motherboards come with and to be honest I was wondering the same already. As I understand it you have to indeed push it in there by touching the bottom and then put it on the socket with the tool. However I would just do it without the tool. Just grab the CPU by the edges, line up the golden triangle as said already and put it in the socket. Wiggle it very lightly to make sure it's seated correctly and then just close the retention arm.

Don't ask me man. I got one with my Z170 Pro Gaming and I don't see the point either since you indeed have to push the CPU inside there touching the bottom which makes this tool somewhat obsolete to me.

I would also not really feel comfortable with having a plastic cover around my CPU and the socket.

dear god, i just took a look at it tru google and jeesus fucking christ, that is one obsolete piece of plastic. cpu isnt really that fragile and that static sensitive that you cant even touch it, so what on earth is the point behind that thing.

'' The handy CPU installation tool makes installing a processor in the motherboard CPU socket less daunting, especially for first time builders '' - Neoseeker.

I mean how can you make the process of picking up cpu and lining it up with the mark on cpu and just putting it there, even more complicated. Well asus apparently kens how.
