Hi guys! I am planning to drill some holes to mount a curtain, pictures, etc. I have this swiss military cordless drill that I will use to drill holes in the wall. I heard that you need this special tool so that you don't drill holes directly into a electric wire or something. What is that tool and where in Korea can I buy it? And also, what are some drilling tips? Thanks!

P. S. I didn't know where to put this so I put it in off topic.

The tool you're looking for is a circuit tracer.

I have no idea where you can find one in Korea, seeing how I can't really use Google in Korean, but every DIY store should carry circuit tracers.

Also, drilling tips can mean many things...

But I would suggest that you make sure the wall you're drilling into is actually strong enough to hold what you plan on installing.

How about a apartment wall? I'm planning to put stuff on my apartment wall and is what Luke's dad used in the whole room water cooling project also a circuit tracer? Thanks!

That depends on the type of walls that is used in your apartment.

It was mearly meant as a warning not to install heavy things on plaster wall. I speak from experience.

My best guess is that you'll be just fine mounting whatever on your walls.

I don't remember that from any of the Whole Room Watercooling videos. Could you link it with a timestamp?

I'll post links below this and I can't find a circuit tracer. Can you find me one? I searched up korean e-malls and also amazon but It'll giv me circuit breakers...

I believe it's in this video -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6GVEx916ik

Hmm, maybe circuit tracer isn't the correct term. It might just be me sucking at English.

It might be called a wire detector.

You could look up a Bosch PMD 7. It's multi-detector that is capable of detecting wires.
