BIOS Update Required?

Hi,

 

I was wondering if i Really need to update BIOS for my eMachines EL1300G-01w because I'm upgrading the gpu, cpu, ram, and adding a 1TB SSD. and a 1TB HDD. I try doing it using the link from the eMachines Download Center but I get this "Please load the correct BIOS file!" it had to be a .bin format so I went to the folder, hit the .bin file and I still get the same Message? So I asking do i really need to Update it for these parts?

 

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 730

CPU: AMD Athlon X2 5000+

RAM: 4GB Corsair DDR2

HDD and SDD: 1TB both

I've never updated any BIOS on any machine. I just have a constant fear of turning my motherboard into a pop tart.

 

Unless there are important updates or fixes that you might benefit from, don't think you need to. But then again, all up to you.

So I dont really need to? I hear maybe a couple to download BIOS update but I dont want my Motherboard corrupted so if you say I dont maybe I just install the parts and lets see if it boots up

If it boots and runs fine you can just leave it as it is.

Ok, I waiting for it to arrive and to install it. And is the ION intergrated with the CPU?

No, it's on the chipset.

 

(My immediate reaction to that word was NVIDIA ION, which was an integrated GPU, so if this isn't it, ignore me!)
