Just like the navigation bar, that is docked to the top of the screen, a 'back to top' can be docked to any edge of the screen. It's especially useful if you've come all the way down, across 20 posts or so, and have to scroll all the way back to the top (It's also simpler than manually dragging the vertical scroll-bar)!

Thanks in advance!

Press home on your keyboard :D

Hah! Didn't realize that! Thanks! Still, such a button would be nice, and I believe it's pretty easy to implement... or is it?

really? haha that button has been there for like 30 years

hm im not sure how hard it would be to implement, I always use HOME, click the top of the navigation bar, or use free scroll on my mouse

I mean, the idea of using the 'HOME' button didn't cross my mind, until you mentioned...

I have been wondering for 17 years what the HOME button does. I expected it would do something similar to Win+D but that didn't work so I assumed it was there for legacy support.

I use my trackpad on my laptop, the up and down keys, page up and page down keys and a scroll wheel to scroll. I don't think I need a fancy key to go to the top of my page, I have many other ways of doing that.

Win+Pause Break opens the System window,

Insert is the most annoying key that turns on overtype,

I assume that scroll lock disables the scroll wheel.

If I was a keyboard manufacture, I'd remove the Scroll lock, Insert, Home and End keys. Pause Break and Printscreen still are useful IMO.
