Ok, so I just got my hyper 212 evo in the mail, which I know everyone is going to approve of. I need someone to confirm for me that you can fit a hyper 212 evo in an Inwin 303 case. Don't want, "should fit" I need to know. I'm not about to order a case that won't fit it. Also, any idea how bad it would be if I grinded  the heat pipes down a bit to make it fit? Or is that just a terrible idea

Yes it will fit just fine. The cooler is 158.5 mm and the case is 572mm deep.

CM's website says 159mm, INwins site says 160mm.  That should leave you 1mm.  I definitely would not grind the heatpipes since they are'nt solid copper but a tube filled with a gas/liquid under pressure

The case is 572mm long and only 335mm deep. How deep a case is also doesn't determine whether a cooler will fit since the design could have used it for rear cable management.

Yes you are right, my bad. Thank you for the correction.

Also to the OP I have found that the case can hold a cooler up to 160mm according to Inwin but people who have been able to get away with up to 172mm. So it will be a little close but you will be fine.

Dmitri over at Hardwarecanucks put a Dark Rock Pro 3 in and that cooler is 163mm. Here is the link to where I found found said information. https://pcpartpicker.com/forums/topic/168938-inwin-303-cpu-cooler-clearance Also on InWins spec page it has max CPU cooler height which I missed the first time.

Oh, 172mm is the distance between the motherboard tray to the side panel and not from the socket. The case doesn't actually have 172mm of clearance.

Oops I didn't read the whole post. I should really get some sleep. Still the OP should be able to fit his cooler as the official spec is 160mm.
