CPU: Intel Pentium G4400
Motherboard: AsRock Z170M Extreme4
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 2x8GB
Storage: A-Data Premier SP550 240GB
Storage: Samsung Spinpoint F3 (an older drive) 500GB
Case: Cooler Master N200
Power Supply: Super Flower SF-500R14S (Silver Green, similar to the 550Watts Gold unit)
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64bit

After going with a laptop for many years I am finally trying to get back into the game. So far I bought the case (I really love the way it looks, don't judge me! xD), the power supply and the motherboard. Unfortunately the estimated delivery for the latter is 22nd of July, so I still have a few days to spare. All the others should follow by the end of the next week. I went for a G4400 as I plan to use it for a couple of months before I get the cash for an I7 6700K and that's also why I decided for that motherboard. Also, in September (or sooner), I plan to add either an RX480 or a GTX1060 (I always use mid-range cards as I can change them each year without losing too much money).

Pictures for what I have so far will come tonight and I hope I'll be able to keep you posted. Also, could you recommend a "good" monitor for around ~$150 to $200? I was looking for the cheapest 144hz LG which is roughly $210 here (Romania).

I don't plan on doing much else than web browsing and some writing. In fact, until September I have to finish my bachelor's degree, so I don't have much time for anything these days. After that on the other hand I should be good to go and that's also why I'm postponing getting the video-card. xD

Don't know about a monitor, but its pretty good. I would probably trade out that SSD for a PNY CS1311 or a OCZ Trion 150, where I am I can get them for the same price. According to benchmarks that CPU's integrated graphics should be able to handle games like Minecraft/ Garry's mod/ TF2/ and casual games like that.

You've made decent choices here, I will make one suggestion...  drop down to a quality 120hz display instead of 144hz.  Your hardware (the two video cards you picked) just really aren't going to be able to do 144hz justice.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

in my opnion if your going for a z mother board you should atleast go for i3and i would go for 2x4gb ram since no need for 16gb

Why an I3 if I'll change it in a couple of months anyway?

If you plan to upgrade that CPU is perfectly fine for Browsing/ very lite gaming/document production/photo editing (photoshop)/ Powerpoint/ etc.

Thank you for your feedback guys! Unfortunately the motherboard is no longer available around here and I had to go for a B150 series one (MSI B150M Mortar). I was looking at any other Z170M model but for some reason they are not available (at least not available in the next few months)... :(

Tonight (or tomorrow morning) I should have all the parts (considering that everything was in stock except the RAM). Will get back with pictures! ^^

I love the fact that it doesn't get past 55 degrees in full-load and the integrated graphics is actually quite good (i can play WOW without any issues on medium). In the next couple of weeks I'll most likely get either an I7 6700 (with or without the K, or even a Xeon) or an AMD RX 480 (I like the MSI card so far).

The GTX1070 is here (Romania) around $550 while the GTX1060 (or the RX480 for that matter) would be around $250, so two times less expensive while not being two times as bad. Also, buying a cheaper video card would allow me to change it next year without losing as much as I would lose with the likes of a GTX1070.

Also, because the prices are so bad here, what I have above was around $400.. :( (the I7 6700, without the K, is $400).
